Внешняя торговля.jpgThe foreign trade turnover of the Smolensk Region in 2013 amounted to 3247.2 mln US dollars and which was 3% higher than in 2012. The regional export was 1330.0 mln US dollars and the regional import - 1916.3 mln US dollars.

In 2013 the export had 41% in the regional trade turnover whereas the import had 59%. The Republic of Belarus is the leading trade partner of the Smolensk Region. The trade turnover with Belarus was 1683,4 mln US dollars in 2012 (which constituted nearly 52% of the foreign trade turnover of the Smolensk Region in 2013).

Among other important trade partners there are: Poland (with the trade turnover of 108 837 thousand US dollars), Germany (with the trade turnover of 92 461 thousand US dollars), Brazil (with the trade turnover of 80 767 thousand US dollars), Saudi Arabia (with the trade turnover of 68506 thousand US dollars), China (with the trade turnover of 57723 thousand US dollars), Italy (with the trade turnover of 40058 thousand US dollars), Lithuania (with the trade turnover of 37814 thousand US dollars), Thailand (with the trade turnover of 30098 thousand US dollars), the USA (with the trade turnover of 28720 thousand US dollars), France (with the trade turnover of 17996 thousand US dollars).
