Corporation on regional development of the Smolensk region
At present the Llc “The Regional Development Corporation of the Smolensk Region” is conducting its activity in the region.

The corporation activity is mainly focused on:
- increase of the investment potential of the region;
- Investment management.

Being the instrument for the implementation of business projects of the Administration of the Smolensk Region on the basis of public-private partnership, the Corporation provides an effective interaction between investors and the Administration providing conditions for spatial and economic development.

Corporation goals

The main goal is to create investment sites in the Smolensk Region for their further presentation to potential investors for the implementation of investment projects. It buys unused land plots of physical and legal entities, shared lands owned by citizens and also registers state and municipal lands.
The main functions:

- creation of investment sites for attraction of potential investors;
- attraction of investments and implementation of investment projects in the Smolensk Region including the creation of project teams to manage and implement investment projects on a “turnkey basis”;
- Corporation provides its lands for investors with or without infrastructure for the implementation of the investment projects, including common ones;
- observation of “one contact’ principle during the interaction of investors and executive bodies;
- interaction with investment and venture funds, banks, international investment agencies, special financial organisations, Russian and international institutes of development in order to use their potential and funds for financing and support of investment in the region;
- coverage of the investment potential and investment regional projects in Russia and abroad (including conferences, exhibitions and forums);
- representation of the interests of the Smolensk Region in Public-Private partnership projects;
- development of infrastructure of industrial zones and industrial parks;
- providing technical and legal services on registration of rights on immovable property including land plots;
- development of international cooperation.
