The Governor Aleksey Ostrovsky held a working meeting with the delegation from the province of Luristan, Islamic Republic of Iran. The delegation was headed by the Governor Basovand Hushung.

Addressing his speech to the Governor of Luristan, Basovand Hushung, the Governor, Aleksey Ostrovsky said: “We would like to welcome Your delegation which unites the representatives of Iran government institutions and businessmen. We have always treated and I am sure that we will always treat Your country as our friends” We know that Iranian businessmen who are present here have investment projects for the Smolensk Region and we express our readiness to discuss them”.

Basovand Hushung replied “I would also like to greet You and I hope that our meeting today will become fruitful and successful. The delegation consists of 5 representatives of government institutions and the rest 17 participants are businessmen. I hope that our visit and our negotiations will result in the adoption of several documents which will allow us to expand trade and economic cooperation”.
