On April 17th, 2014 the annual meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Economic Development of RF was devoted to the performance of the Ministry in 2013 and its new goals for 2014. Special attention was paid to the organisation of “contacts exchange” of RF trade representatives in foreign countries with the representatives of regional authorities of the RF Subjects supervising the implementation of the agreements on international economic cooperation (the agreement on international economic cooperation was concluded between the Administration of the Smolensk Region and Ministry of Economic Development of RF on February 20th, 2014).

The “contacts exchange” involves personal contacts, discussion of cooperation, preparation and implementation of common projects, participation in business missions of the Russian Federation, discussion of perspectives of trade and economic cooperation with foreign partners.

The participants of the event received an opportunity to communicate personally with each trade representative.

R.L. Rovbel, the first deputy head of the Department of Economic Development of the Smolensk Region represented the region; he had also taken part in negotiations with S.I. Bykov, the head of the Department for Regional Cooperation of Russia-Germany Chamber of Commerce, which were devoted to attracting investment in the region.
