The Smolensk Region rating remained on the “В+” level
25.09.2014 The Smolensk Region rating remained on the “В+” level“Fitch Ratings”, the largest rating agency, confirmed the long-term default ratings of the Smolensk Region and gave more optimistic prognoses.
The long-term rating of the Smolensk Region in foreign and national currencies remained on the “B+” level, the rating on the national scale has the “A-(rus)” level, the short-term rating in foreign currency is on the “B” level. The long-term prognosis was changed from “negative” to “stable”.
The Smolensk Region first underwent the rating evaluation procedure in September 2012. It was initiated because the Regional Administration was intent on entering the securities market.
