The Governor Aleksey Ostrovsky got acquainted with the progress of implementation of the investment project  “Establishment of an Industrial and Technological Park “VORGA” by CJSC “Glass Plant VORGA” in the Ershchichi district of the Smolensk region.

The industrial and technological park constitutes a complex of interconnected projects of an innovative and industrial profile which are united by related implementation fields, technologies and infrastructural needs. It is planned to launch production of architectural and structural glass, wired safety glass, apparatus and aviation glass as well as especially thin “display” glass. The timeframe for the project implementation is 2013-2020 with the overall investment volume exceeding 12 billion rubles.

During the Governor’s visit to the plant all the comments on the investment project were made by the chairperson of the board of directors of CJSC “Glass plant VORGA” Yury Muravyev. He explained that by now more than 300 billion rubles have already been invested in the project. The bulk of the investment has gone into reconstruction of the industrial and engineering infrastructure as well as in preparation for the first state of the project – LLC “VOSTEK”.

The accomplished work resulted in retooling and upgrading of certain office buildings and production premises, in renovation of electric and gas facilities and networks, in completion of preparatory construction work.

There has been an additional investment of 59 billion rubles into scientific research and development activity, such as project design and expertise, marketing research, project feasibility study, working out of a business model, carrying out all the necessary construction work, manufacturing and launch of the first automated production line.

Currently, the enterprise offers 35 vacancies. All the required corresponding highly skilled employees have got proper education n the relevant field. On the whole, by the end of 2017 630 billion rubles will have been invested in implementation of the project on construction of a highly-profitable innovative enterprise specialized in production of composite non-metallic reinforcement LLC “VOSTEK” in the Smolensk region. As a result, up to 90 highly paid workplaces will be created.
