27.04.2015 The CEO of the corporation of investment development of the Smolensk region visited the Japanese industrial park «Kiyohara»

Last week Association of industrial parks of Russia held a retreat in the industrial park «Kiyohara» which is located in the city of Utsunomiya in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Smolensk region was represented by the CEO of the corporation of investment development of Smolensk region, Andrey Kulichkov.

The seminar was devoted to study the best the management practice of industrial parks. Reports on realization of industrial policy, development of production infrastructure were made by the head of association of residents of the industrial park «Kiyohara», heads of the key departments of the management company of the industrial park «Kiyohara», the management of department of the industry of Tochigi Prefecture.

The participants of a seminar learned about the structure of work with residents of the industrial park, the existing preferences for residents, sources of financing projects, and also about infrastructure of the park and functions of the management company. The management company was founded in 1960. Nowadays the territory of the park is 387 ha and there are manufacturing enterprises such large corporations as DuPont, Canon (4550 employees), Kiyohara, Mitsubishi. There are 34 residents and about 13000 workplaces. Total expenses amount to 5 billion yens.

For members of the delegation of AIP visited manufacturing enterprises of the park, including a tobacco factory of the Japan Tobacco Corporation which has been already localized 4 plants in Russia.

The visit to the industrial park is a part of business mission of representatives from the Russian regions to Japan and Korea, this visit was organized by Association of industrial parks.

It is to be recalled that work on creation of industrial parks «Safonovo» and «Phoenix» is conducted in the Smolensk region. On April 17, 2015 the Corporation of investment development of the Smolensk region was admitted to Association of industrial parks of Russia.
