23.03.2015 Smolensk region rose by the 36th place in a rating «Investment potential of regions – 2014» among territorial subjects of the Russian Federation

The administration of the Smolensk region and personally the Governor Alexey Vladimirovich Ostrovskiy pay much attention to attraction of investments into the region that is one of the main instruments of development of the region. Smolensk region took the 36th place among all subjects of the Russian Federation and the 7th place in Central Federal District on an indicator «The index of the physical volume of investment into basic capital» which made 100,8%, following the results of January-December, 2014.

Most actively money was made into the manufacturing – 8,1 billion rubles, from them into wood processing and production of forest products - 3,1 billion rubles (growth by 3,2 times), production of foodstuff,-1,1 billion rubles, chemical production – 0,9 billion rubles (by 2,3 times). It should be noted that the logistic investment project of the federal level «Regional Distribution Centre in the territory of the Smolensk Region» of the CJSC «Tander» which has already invested 1,5 billion rubles. 1500 people will be employed at this enterprise until the end of 2015.
