22.01.2015 Creation of Department of investment development of the Smolensk region

The Head of the Department of investment development of the Smolensk region Rostislav Rovbel is appointed at the direction of the Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy.

The new executive authority of the Smolensk region will be engaged in investment development of the region, formation and realization of regional policy in development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Also the Department’s main tasks are the realization of a uniform state policy in the field of observance of legitimate rights and interests of subjects of business and investment activity, creating favorable conditions for implementation of their activity in the territory of the Smolensk region. Besides, the Department is entitled to coordinate activity of executive authorities of the region and organize their interaction with local governments on attraction of investments into the Smolensk region.
