03.06.2016 Alexey Ostrovskiy has taken part in the Russian-German negotiations

Working visit of Acting Governor of Smolensk region Alexey Ostrovskiy has taken place in Stuttgart (Germany) by the invitation of the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexey Uliukaev who headed the Russian delegation.

As a part of the delegation Alexey Ostrovskiy met representatives of large business of the federated states Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. The trade and economic cooperation and prospects of joint investment projects became a principal theme of the visit.

Alexey Ostrovskiy has told representatives of the German business community about investment potential and competitive advantages of Smolensk region, and also about large companies which realize the projects in the territory of the region.

The Head of the region has visited Stuttgart where he has taken part in a round table with entrepreneurs of the federated state Baden- Württemberg. During discussion the special attention was paid to developing of cooperation between Russian and German entrepreneurs in the innovation sector. Heads of such German industrial giants as Mercedes-Benz, Knauf Gips KG, Airbus Group, Robert Bosch GmbH, Dürr AG, Knorr-Bremse AG and others have taken part in the meeting.

Following the results of the trip Smolensk region will be included into the working group on development of social and economic relations between Russia and Bavaria. It should be remind that amount of commercial intercourses between Russia and Bavaria are very big, from all amount of the Russian-German commercial affairs of 20% is accounted for by Bavaria and 50% of the investment projects realized by Germany in Russia - the Bavarian origin.
