28.06.2016 Acting Governor had a meeting with Ambassador of Denmark

Head of the region Alexey Ostrovskiy has held a working meeting with Ambassador of Denmark to the Russian Federation Thomas Winkler. The parties have discussed the perspective directions of collaboration between Smolensk region and Kingdom of Denmark.

Because of the fact that goods turnover between Russia and Denmark was reduced practically on the most significant commodity groups since 2015, Alexey Ostrovskiy has suggested to use the capacity of the region for such perspective directions of cooperation as production and processing of milk and meat, production of poultry and eggs, and also in the sphere of plant growing.

Besides, during the meeting there have been discussed possible spheres of interaction using advanced technologies of Danish companies on the main technological platforms in the spheres of energy sufficiency and saving, medicine, pharmaceutics and biotechnologies, and also in the sphere of consumer goods manufacturing.

In 2015 there were changes in the structure of the Russian import from Denmark connected with slash in supply package of such groups as «Dairy Products», «Meat and Edible Meat Offal». Also commodity import of such groups as «Pharmaceutical Products», «Other Chemical Goods», «Albumens, Modified Starch, Glues, Enzymes» was reduced.
