The forum «Development of investment and business climate in Smolensk region: analysis of situation, search of opportunities and «growth points» has taken place in the cultural and exhibition center of Tenishev. The main subject of discussion platforms became improvement of conditions of business development in Smolensk region.

Nowadays about 50 thousand legal entities and individual entrepreneurs are registered in the region, and, according to regional Department of the Federal Tax Service, every year their number increases approximately by 10%.

The deputy Governor Rostislav Rovbel has told about the purposes of holding the forum: «Today we will talk about business in the territory of Smolensk region. The regional authorities have an understanding on development of investment climate, but for successful work in this direction it is necessary to build constructive dialogue and to create effective feedback channels with business community».

Rostislav Rovbel has emphasized that active position of representatives of business promotes change of the regional and federal legislation. This year thanks to the appeal of representatives of business community to Administration of the region the regional law on «tax holidays» assuming tax exemption for a period of 2 years of those individual entrepreneurs is adopted which will register the activity in the territory of Smolensk region since January 1, 2017.

With assistance of Alexey Ostrovskiy it was succeeded to resolve such important issue as preferential crediting of businessmen, using possibilities of Corporation of small and medium-sized enterprises. The representatives of business realizing the projects in priority branches have the right to a credit to the amount not less than 10 million rubles with the fixed interest rate for subjects of small business at the level of 10,6% per annum, for an average - 9,6% per annum. Earlier only those enterprises which have submitted the application for receiving the credit of not less than 50 million rubles could use such preferential terms. «It is serious financial volumes, and for many businessmen such sum is too big therefore the head of the region Alexey Ostrovskiy has prepared the corresponding address to the address of the management of the Corporation which has helped to change conditions of receiving the credit in favor of businessmen», - the vice governor has noted.

Small and medium-sized enterprises get support and including subsidizing in Smolensk region. For example, funds for compensation of a part of costs of technological accession to objects of power supply network economy are allocated to businessmen. Money is provided in a size which isn't exceeding 50% of actually made expenses, but no more than 4 million rubles on one subject of business. Today the given measure of support exists only in our region.

The president of the company LLC Roztekh Elena Smorodina, communicating with business community, has shared the experience interactions with Administration of the region: «We work more than 10 years in the territory of Smolensk region. Our first factory has appeared in Gagarin, and now we prepare for opening factory in Roslavl. As us all suits businessmen, approaches of administrations of various levels to business development impose, as they help as he is sympathetic react to all our initiatives. When we made the decision to open the second factory, considered several regions, but after all have stopped on Smolensk region. I met with the Governor and according to his advice have chosen Roslavl as there are qualified personnel for development of our business and good base for training of employees».
