The Vyazma skinnery has started the new plant floor

Within a working trip to the Vyazma district the Governor of Smolensk region Alexey Ostrovskiy has taken part in opening of a new dyeing and fat-liquoring plant floor at the skinnery. The head of the region together with Victor Evtukhov, the State-Secretary - Deputy Minister of the Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, has examined work of the enterprise and has communicated with labor collective.

The Vyazma enterprise produces real leather for footwear, haberdashery and furniture. Today it is included into the three of the best leather plants of Russia. It is one of the oldest local productions, last year the plant has celebrated the 95 anniversary. Monthly at the enterprise where 400 people work, it is produced up to 140 thousand square meters of ready skin.

Sales market of production is broad, it is bought by the famous producers of footwear the Ralf Ringer (the CEO of the company Andrey Berezhnoy has also visited the plant as a part of the delegation), Skorokhod Moda, Faraday, Paritet, Giotto, Kotofey, and also the Russian and Belarusian producers of furniture: Pinskdrev, Molodechnomebel, King of Sofas, Slavyanskiy Dvor, Vyatka Furniture and others. The third of finished goods is sent for export in the leading countries of the world shoe industry: Italy, Portugal, Romania, Germany, India, China, Serbia, Poland and others.

It should be noted that the Vyazma skinnery is included in the list of the companies having significant effect on industries and trade.

The Head of the region together with Victor Evtukhov, the CEO of the Vyazma skinnery Teimuraz Barkalaya and the deputy director of Fund of development of the industry Mikhail Makarov have made symbolical start of works in new dyeing and fat-liquoring plant floor.

The modern equipment in the new plant floor will allow the plant to increase considerably import-substituting production of natural furniture and shoe skin.    

Teimuraz Barkalaya has marked out that among competitive advantages of production of the enterprise there is a big color palette, an optimum quality-to-price ratio in comparison with analogs, involvement of the international experts-technologists when developing new articles, and also using the Russian raw materials that fixes the ruble prices for buyers.

It should be reminded that since 2015 the plant enables the realization of the investment project (the term of its realization is from 2015 till 2022) on modernization of production for the purpose of increase in quantity and improvement of quality of production, and also expansion of the range. The regional Department of investment development has provided the state support of investment activity to the enterprise in the form of maintenance by the one stop principle.

The total amount of investments on the project makes more than 386 million rubles, at the expense of these means 30 units of the new equipment are already acquired, development and realization of new production technologies is enabled.

In October, 2015 the Fund of development of the industry has provided to the enterprise a loan of more than 270 million rubles on the production modernization including construction dyeing and fat-liquoring plant floor, replacement of the outdated equipment, introduction of new technologies and creation of new jobs. At the expense of these means the management of the plant plans to master production of velvet leather, new articles of shoe and furniture skin on the modern equipment.

Within the project the enterprise will significantly expand a color palette of production and will increase the output by 50%. The company plans to occupy 11% of the Russian market of natural skin and crust (skin without front finishing), having pressed foreign producers who occupy 22% of the market now. A part of production will go for export, at the same time 50% of the additional output are supposed to be exported to Italy.
