15.02.2017 There is a work on creation of a tourist cluster in Smolensk region

The interim results of work of the Center of Cluster Development (CCD) have been considered during the meeting on rendering the state support to subjects of business activity in Smolensk region. The meeting has taken place under the chairmanship of the Governor of Smolensk region Alexey Ostrovsky.

As the CEO of CCD Denis Alenin has told, nowadays three clusters are created in the region: composite, deep processing of flax, information technologies.

The operational efficiency of CCD is confirmed at the level of the Ministry of Economic Development, the size of the federal subsidy allocated to Smolensk region for support of subjects of small and medium-sized enterprises entering the clusters has increased almost by 75% and has made more than 5 million rubles in 2017. Taking into account these means the number of the subjects of small and medium-sized enterprises which have got the state support on the basis of CCD will make 50.

The CEO of CCD has informed the Governor that now it is implemented the complex of actions for formation of the tourist cluster. Following the results of 2017, it will be developed its development strategy with which CCD plans to participate in competitive selection of the Ministry of Economic Development on receiving a federal subsidy for development of the small and medium-sized enterprises occupied in the territory of the region in the sphere of tourism.

It should be reminded that the Center of Cluster Development of Smolensk region acts as a link between business community, public, scientific and educational organizations, authorities and financial institutions.
