27.02.2017 The Smolensk delegation takes part in work of Russian Investment Forum

The Smolensk delegation headed by the Governor of Smolensk region Alexey Ostrovsky takes part in work of the Russian investment forum that has been started in Sochi.

The head of the region plans to sign a number of important documents including agreements on implementation of large investment projects in the territory of the region with the total amount more than three billion rubles.

“The forum in work of which the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, heads of the ministries and departments, leading economists, heads of subjects, representatives of business community traditionally take part is one of the most milestone economic events for the business community of Russia. This platform gives the chance to exchange experience, to estimate how regions are implemented, how investment projects develop in the regions.

I’m sure that the Russian investment forum in Sochi will help us to adjust business contacts and will give an additional impulse to economic development of Smolensk region. We are open to a cooperation within new perspective investment projects, are aimed at negotiations with potential business partners, are ready to offer them the attractive investment and tax legislation, privileges and preferences, a constructive cooperation on platforms of the created industrial parks Phoenix and Safonovo, the monotown of Dorogobuzh which in the short term will become a priority social and economic development area”, - Alexey Ostrovsky emphasized.

The Russian investment forum proved its worth as the effective platform for active interaction of authorities of federal and regional levels with representatives of business community, heads of leading companies in various industries of economy and social sphere.
