21.03.2017 The pavilion of Smolensk region has opened at the international exhibition of food products FOOD CITY

The pavilion of Smolensk region has opened in the territory of the largest wholesale and food agrocluster Food City within the permanent international exhibition of food products. The Governor Alexey Ostrovsky participated in a ceremony.

The trade and exhibition platform Food City which is located in Moscow unites producers of foodstuffs and food products from 85 regions of the Russian Federation and also 30 partner countries from EEU, BRICS, SCO, Central Asia, North Africa and the Balkan countries. According to the organizers, daily customer traffic of all agrocluster is to 100 thousand people.

The exhibition purpose is a presentation of the food products made by agricultural, food and processing enterprises with the subsequent their realization on the internal and foreign markets. Except pavilions of the Russian regions, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, Iran, South Korea and other countries are also presented there.

The pavilion of Smolensk region is presented by agricultural, food and processing enterprises of large, small and medium-sized enterprises: Safonovokhleb CJSC, Romanishin (a self-employed entrepreneur), a joint venture company Bobrovo LLC, Company Smolenskaya collection LLC, Novoye Selo LLC, Varnitsa LLC, a poultry farm Smetanino LLC, a greenhouse complex  Kozinsky LLC, Smolenskrybkhoz CJSC. Meat, dairy, fish, vegetable and cereal products, bakery and confectionery, hive products, soft drinks, juice enter the offered range.

Addressing to the participants of Smolensk delegation the Chairman of the board of The Euroasian Business Union Victor Kambolov noted: “We form a certain platform of regions where producers have a real opportunity to enter the new markets.

The opened platform will help to strengthen interaction and relations between Smolensk and other regions and countries from the North Caucasus and finishing Siberia and also the countries of the Arab world”.

Victor Kambolov emphasized that opening of the pavilion is only a first step in interaction of Smolensk region and the agrocluster Food City. Today there is an active work on creation of electronic platform which will unite all producers and marketing structures. One more direction of cooperation is implementation of the program of wholesale distribution centers initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture.

After the opening ceremony of the pavilion of Smolensk region it has taken place a survey of an exposition and tasting of the presented production. During the excursion of the Governor have informed that already now there is an interested demand for goods of the Smolensk producers from other regions. In particular, partners from the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) have shown interest in the range of goods of a joint venture company Bobrovo LLC which has presented cereal production.
