06.04.2017 The Smolensk agricultural producers showed the first results at the agroexhibition FOOD CITYAt the end of March the Governor of the region Alexey Ostrovsky took part in opening of the pavilion of the Smolensk region in the territory of the largest wholesale and food agrocluster Food City. It is possible to speak about the first progress of an initiative which allowed the Smolensk producers to expand sales markets of agricultural products.
“The platform of the agrocluster has opened new opportunities and new sales markets for the Smolensk producers. A number of the enterprises successfully sells the products there. Besides, agricultural producers of the Smolensk region actively conduct negotiation process with business partners from other regions of Russia which result, I am sure, there will be a conclusion of new mutually advantageous contracts for delivery of production. Less than a month ago we solemnly opened the pavilion of the Smolensk region in the territory of Food City and we see the first progress and perspective projects”, - Alexey Ostrovsky commented.
It should be reminded that the trade and exhibition platform Food City which is located in Moscow unites producers of foodstuffs and food products from 85 regions of the Russian Federation and also 30 partner countries from EEU, BRICS, SCO, Central Asia, North Africa and the Balkan countries. According to the organizers, daily customer traffic of all agrocluster is to 100 thousand people.
Now Union of the Smolensk Producers, LLC representing the interests of farmers of the region conducts negotiations with partners from the Novosibirsk region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) on purchases of the most various range of the food products presented by residents of Smolensk at the exhibition. Also it is discussed the question of delivery of the goods that are made in Smolensk region in a grocery chain Evrotorg. In addition the samples of meat and dairy products and soft drinks are sent to the retail network of healthy food VkusVill (Moscow).
However, the greatest interest of participants of the agrocluster was attracted by production of Kozinsky Hothouse Plant. It has been already realized 171 tons of fresh cucumbers since the opening of the pavilion of the Smolensk region on Food City.
According to the CEO of Kozinsky Hothouse Plant, LLC Valery Grinevich this cooperation will only extend. Delivery of potatoes, tomatoes, beets, cabbage and carrots is the next plans. |
